2018 Planning Updates

37 Moss Hall Grove On 7 December 2016 Finchley & Golders Green Planning Committee voted to approve the proposal to build a large private child care facility on the corner between Moss Hall Nursery and Moss Hall Infant school. This was despite 265 objections from local people highlighting the dangerous road conditions and congestion this development will cause - as well as the inappropriate overdevelopment. We are grateful to Anne Kruse for representing the WFRA and other local residents in speaking strongly against the proposal at the meeting.

Building work has been delayed on this project and the opening has been delayed until some time in 2019.

In December 2017 a planning application to demolish 80A Westbury Road and replace with 3 self-contained flats was refused by Barnet Council Planning Committee. A new owner is planning to submit plans by the end of 2018.

Updates on other Planning Applications

273 Nether Street – an application for a three-storey extension has been REFUSED by the Council.

12 Chesterfield Road – the application to convert the semi-detached house into 3 self-contained flats has been REFUSED by the Council.

261 Nether Street – the owners submitted revised plans with changes to the front elevation - this time with a flat roof on the side extension.
