Neighbourhood Forum meetings

The Forum is the legally required body authorised by the local authority to develop and present for implementation the Neighbourhood Plan. The Forum is made up currently (February 2019) of 34 local residents (the minimum is 21) who represent the approximately 2,000 residents in 700 dwellings of the West Finchley Neighbourhood area. The work of the Forum is taken forward between meetings by an elected Executive Committee (see below).

The Forum was designated by Barnet Council (LBB) on 26 November 2015 for a period of five years which expires on 25 November 2020. The Forum is currently seeking redesignation in order to complete the work on the Neighbourhood Plan. 28 residents have agred to continue as members of the Forum along with two of our Ward Councillors. The application for redesignation (Document 1 and Document 2) has been submitted to Barnet Council and will go to the October Planning Committee meeting.
